Channel Pool
In the Capacity Plus system, the channel pool provides an efficient mechanism for managing and allocating available channel resources.
Channels can be organized and shared according to system requirements, enabling communication resources to be dynamically allocated among users and talkgroups. By efficiently managing channel access and release, the system improves channel utilization, overall system performance, and user communication efficiency.
Beacon
In a DMR system, a beacon is a signaling mechanism used to communicate channel status and other relevant system information.
Beacon signaling can indicate operating conditions and provide radios with information required for system access and operation, helping devices efficiently identify and utilize available communication resources.
This mechanism contributes to more efficient channel management and reduces unnecessary resource contention.
Rest Channel
The Rest Channel is a key element of the Capacity Plus architecture. When no active communication is taking place, radios monitor the designated Rest Channel for system signaling and new communication requests.
When a call is initiated, the system dynamically assigns available channel resources according to current traffic conditions. This mechanism enables: Efficient channel sharing, Dynamic resource allocation, Fast response to communication requests, Improved spectrum utilization.
It allows Capacity Plus to provide trunking capabilities without relying on a permanently dedicated control channel.
TDMA
Capacity Plus is based on TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) technology.
TDMA divides a radio-frequency channel into separate time slots, allowing multiple communication paths to share the same frequency resource. This enables the system to: Improve spectrum efficiency, Increase communication capacity, Optimize radio resource utilization, Support simultaneous communication requirements more efficiently.
By combining TDMA technology with dynamic channel allocation, Capacity Plus provides an efficient foundation for professional digital trunked communications.
