Give Your Intrinsically Safe Radios a Comprehensive Safety Inspection During National Work Safety Month

This June marks China’s 25th National Work Safety Month, under the theme “Safety Is Everyone’s Responsibility, Emergency Response Is Everyone’s Capability — Identifying and Eliminating Potential Risks.”

For high-risk industries such as petroleum and petrochemicals, chemicals, mining, ports, and natural gas, workplace safety is never simply a slogan. It is a fundamental requirement that must be maintained every day and throughout every operation.

As essential communication terminals frequently used by frontline personnel, Motorola intrinsically safe radios play an important role in production coordination and emergency communications. Their compliance, physical condition, operational stability, and reliability are closely connected with the continuity of on-site dispatch and the effectiveness of emergency communications.

🔍 A Common Industry Challenge: Heavy Usage, Limited Maintenance, and Insufficient Inspection

In real-world industrial applications, many Motorola intrinsically safe radios operate continuously under high-frequency usage. Combined with demanding conditions such as high temperatures, high humidity, salt-spray corrosion, and electromagnetic interference, prolonged operation may lead to issues including signal degradation, battery aging, parameter drift, and reduced equipment performance.

Many of these issues can remain hidden during routine operation and may be difficult to identify through basic visual inspections or conventional self-checks.

When critical dispatch or emergency response is required, unresolved equipment issues may result in communication interruptions, unsuccessful instruction delivery, or equipment compliance concerns. These problems can affect operational efficiency and may also create gaps in equipment safety management and regulatory compliance.

✅ Responding to National Work Safety Month: Free Inspection Campaign Now Underway

This year’s National Work Safety Month calls on relevant authorities, organizations, and enterprises to draw lessons from previous incidents, mobilize broad participation around the campaign theme, and conduct comprehensive identification and remediation of potential risks.

Employees are also encouraged to proactively identify and report potential hazards in their working environments, further strengthening frontline emergency management capabilities.

To help enterprises address equipment compliance concerns, strengthen maintenance practices, and identify potential equipment risks, Motorola Solutions (China) Co., Ltd. and Beijing Dynercomm Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. have jointly launched the Motorola Intrinsically Safe Radio Nationwide Free Inspection Campaign.

Building on extensive expertise in professional communication technologies and service capabilities, the campaign provides standardized and professional inspection services to support enterprises in strengthening workplace safety, compliant equipment maintenance, operational reliability, and management efficiency.

Professional Team, Reliable Technical Support

The Explosion-Proof Equipment Repair & Service Center of Beijing Dynercomm Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. is an officially designated professional inspection center for Motorola Solutions intrinsically safe communication equipment and an authorized repair and service center.

The center provides lifecycle technical services for intrinsically safe radios in accordance with applicable national requirements, supporting customers from equipment inspection and condition assessment through maintenance and repair.

📋 Comprehensive Qualifications and Standardized Services

Dynercomm holds the Explosion-Proof Electrical Equipment Maintenance Capability Certificate, Explosion-Proof Electrical Equipment Repair Capability Certificate, and Explosion-Proof Electrical Equipment Installation Capability Certificate issued by the Nanyang Explosion-Protected Electrical Apparatus Research Institute.

These qualifications demonstrate Dynercomm’s professional capabilities in the maintenance and repair of intrinsically safe communication equipment. Standardized inspection procedures help ensure consistent and reliable technical evaluation.

💡 Experienced Technical Team for In-Depth Risk Identification

Dynercomm’s core technical team has extensive experience in intrinsically safe professional communications and is familiar with a wide range of Motorola intrinsically safe radio models.

Through professional inspection procedures and dedicated testing equipment, the team conducts in-depth evaluations to help identify equipment abnormalities and potential risks that may not be visible during routine checks.

Specialized Inspection to Support Equipment Compliance and Reliability

Unlike basic equipment checks, this specialized inspection campaign is conducted with reference to the detailed inspection requirements specified in Clauses 5.1, 5.3, and 5.4 of GB 3836.16-2024.

The inspection focuses on areas that may be overlooked during routine maintenance and compliance management, helping identify potential issues such as sealing component deterioration and electrical performance drift. The objective is to make equipment condition more transparent, risks more manageable, and compliance information more traceable.

The inspection evaluates the condition of the equipment enclosure, wear and aging of sealing components, and the integrity of relevant protective structures. It helps identify structural damage, sealing deterioration, and other potential issues that may affect the equipment’s intended intrinsic safety and explosion-protection performance.

Intrinsic Safety Marking and Compliance Verification

The inspection verifies the authenticity and completeness of intrinsic safety and explosion-protection markings, equipment serial numbers, certification records, and related product information. It helps identify potential compliance concerns such as unclear markings, altered information, invalid certification records, and non-standard product labeling.

Functional Performance Verification

Professional testing equipment is used to evaluate key operating parameters, including RF output power, receiver sensitivity, voice audio quality, and interference resistance, helping assess whether the equipment continues to perform as intended.

Intrinsic Safety Performance Inspection

Detailed inspections are conducted on key electrical parameters and components, including circuit board condition, dielectric parameters, and open-circuit voltage.
These evaluations help identify electrical abnormalities, performance degradation, circuit aging, and other potential risks that may affect the long-term intrinsic safety, reliability, and operational performance of the equipment.

📄 Inspection Reports to Support Equipment Management

After the inspection is completed, Dynercomm will issue a Motorola Intrinsically Safe Radio Safety Inspection Reportfor each inspected device.

The report documents the equipment condition, identified issues, and recommended corrective actions, providing enterprises with professional reference information for equipment management, maintenance planning, and compliance-related recordkeeping.
